From the Speak List user guide · updated 2026-10-20.
Lists live on this device. No Speak List account and no Speak List cloud sync.
The app itself does not make network calls for your list data.
Voice input uses Apple’s speech recognition. On newer iPhones it can run on-device; otherwise Apple may process audio on Apple’s servers to turn speech into text (Apple’s speech system — not a Speak List server). Offline dictation depends on the phone, language, and available on-device recognition. It is not guaranteed for every combination. If it is unavailable, use Type / Paste. Your lists stay on your device either way.
Sharing and backups are plain-text files you choose to send or save.
No analytics SDK, no ads, no tracking pixels in the app.
Optional support channels (website, phone helper, email) are outside the app and cannot see the lists on your phone.
Full policy: the Privacy page on the website (and the store privacy URL when published).
Typed help note: "Ask a question (AI)" opens the website in your browser — the question is typed and answered there, never inside the app. The app itself still runs no server of its own; the only outside services are Apple's (speech recognition, App Store contributions) and what you choose to share.
